Anita EnriquIMG_3927.JPGez / Kid’s Art Instructor + Adult Classes in Mixed Media Workshop – While fueled by her passion to keep learning, creating and encouraging as a home school mom of three daughters, Anita also delights in bringing others together to enjoy a moment and  think outside the box to express their own unique artistic potential.

She believes that enjoying an Art moment is like taking time to “pause” and  allow that moment to help us appreciate life.  Art has been her saving grace since childhood and she has been inspired by the ocean, nature and various textures of her surroundings.  Intrigued by the exciting process of various mixed media techniques to recycle, up-cycle and create new purposes for everyday found items.  She is truly thankful for the opportunity to encourage others to discover what brings them joy in their art journey.

Her Artist Statement: “I have always loved to work with watercolor and water media, enjoying the vibrant colors and flow of the paint. Committing to bold color early in the painting keeps the work clean and transparent. This is what gives watercolor its sparkle and life. Watercolor is meant to be spontaneous and I often “attack” the paper with color. It is natural for me to paint with this medium and I am fascinated by the movement of wet pigment. I enjoy taking liberties with the paint. It would be boring to copy something exactly. As an artist, it is my job and my passion to find the excitement in the subject and exaggerate it. While respecting all forms of art, my preference is to paint things of beauty. I guess that is why I love to paint flowers.

Using a variety of techniques and working with different tools and materials is a must for personal growth. Come join us to find your own personal development!
